Bandits kidnap family members of Ango Abdullahi in Kaduna
Bandits stormed some residence in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State, kidnapping a woman and her four children, identified as family members of Professor Ango Abdullahi, Chairman of the Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF). Family source disclosed that the bandits kidnapped the woman, Hajia Ramatu Samaila, and her children at their residence when they struck on Tuesday night.
Hajia Ramatu Samaila was further identified as the daughter-in-law of the village head of Yakawada, Alhaji Rilwanu Saidu, said to be the elder brother of Ango Abdullahi.
The family source had narrated that the bandits invaded Yakawada village in large numbers, shooting sporadically to gain access to the residence of the village head.
The bandits further kidnapped other residents of the community, who include Abubakar Mijinyawa, his two wives, Aisha and Hajara, who are nursing mothers, including their babies. The bandits killed a local patrol guard, Aminu Lawal, in the operation.
