Bandits raid community in Taraba, kill three, kidnap many
Bandits invaded Bali, headquarters of Bali Local Government Area, Taraba State, killing three persons, kidnapping an unspecified number of persons.
The bandits were said to have invaded the town on motorcycles, shooting into the air. Officials of the Taraba Marshall, a security outfit, were first targeted at a checkpoint adjacent to the general hospital, and later invaded residents’ homes, causing destruction. The bandits were said to have escaped with their kidnapped victims, mostly women, through a bush path.
The bandits were further said to have raided the town at about 11.00pm Sunday night.
