Bandits returns to Kogi, kill four in attack on Bagana community
Bandits have returned to Kogi State to resume onslaught on innocent citizens. The resumed bandits had invaded Bagana community in Omala Local Government Area, Kogi State, on Tuesday, killing about four persons, and injuring many.
The bandits were said to have stormed a shop at the centre of the community, killing the sales representative and three customers making purchases at the shop.
The invaders were said to have also caused injuries to many others as they engaged in sporadic shooting in the community to facilitate their operations and escape.
The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, CP Idrisu Dabban, was said to have acknowledged that the gunmen targeted attack on one Musa. It could not be ascertained whether the said Musa was the owner of the shop or was at the shop for patronage.
The CP was said to have highlighted: “The figure known to us is that four people were killed. The 13-year-old salesman and three other customers.
“We were told that they came to attack one Musa who was not available, and they went ahead to attack innocent people.”
The CP noted that no suspects have been arrested and that investigation has commenced into the attack and killings.
