Bible Society to train 7,000 ministers on crises management, succession
The Bible Society of Nigeria says plans are ongoing to build the capacity of more than 7,000 ministers and pastors in the areas of crisis management, succession planning and home management.
The society said in a statement on Thursday in Lagos that the training was part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the Church in Nigeria and was aimed at strengthening its strategic partnership with it.
According to the Society, it is partnering with the American Bible Society to donate over 7,000 copies of the Bible to participants at the training.
It said the first series of the training, which would be in partnership with International Church Growth Ministry, would commence on August 5, in Lagos.
It said the theme of the first series would be “Leveraging Kingdom Resource Tools for maximum impact in the ministry and building the family front for a Biblical value-oriented Society.”
The society said the training would help the Church overcome the social, economic, environmental and other challenges confronting the nation, as well as remain focused on its mandate of soul wining.
