Bizarre as father-of-four kills wife, dumps her in a well; claimed she ran away

Friends of a pharmacist simply identified Esther have expressed shock over his demise.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Monday, July 18 at her residence in Republic street, Benin, Edo State. A source reports, “Esther’s husband killed her and dumped her in a well thinking he won’t be caught.

Concerned neighbors who noticed Esther’s disappearance for some days, approached her husband to ask for her whereabouts. He wept profusely claiming that she ran away leaving their four kids for him to take care of.

So, a neighbor who went to fetch water from their compound well, noticed a floating body and raised an alarm. The police and local vigilantes arrived at the scene and the body was retrieved and it was that of Esther. The suspect was accosted and after much beating, he confessed to have committed the crime.
