Black Marine intercepts foreign speedboat on high sea, kills 2 in Bakassi
Militants in the Bakassi Peninsula, believed to be Black Marine of the Biafra Nations League (BnL), on Thursday morning intercepted a foreign speedboat conveying conveying helmets in Atabong East high sea, killing two crews.
The militants were said to have gunned down two persons in foreign boat conveying cartons of helmets to deliver to oil workers at the maritime border in Bakassi Peninsula.
The Black Marine operatives were said to have fired several shots at the scene of the attack in confronting occupants of the boat.
The militants were said to have made away with some helmets before the arrival of Cameroonian soldiers.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been made by the leadership of the BnL on the incident at the time of this report.
