Breaking: Lagos Assembly reinstates suspended lawmakers

The Speaker, Rt.Hon.Mudashiru Obasa has affirmed the reinstatement of four suspended members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, back to active legislative business.

Obasa hinted that the directive was sequel to the Tuesday parley of the Governor’s Advisory Council to intervene in the crisis,led by  the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The GAC directive was communicated by the Speaker during plenary today, noting that Tinubu ordered that the suspended members be reinstated back to represent their constituency .
“Our National Leader ordered that the suspended members be restored,for this reason I inform us that from the next sitting our members,four of them will be restored back to sit with us and represent their constituency.
“Their suspension is hereby  lifted.
It would be recalled the four lawmakers in question,were suspended at the plenary held on Monday 9th of March 2020 and they have since been denied access into the Assembly complex.
The affected lawmakers are Hon. Olumuyiwa Jimoh,  who was the former Deputy Majority Leader,  Hon.Rotimi Abiru former Chief Whip, Hon.Moshood Oshun and Hon.Kazeem Raheem.
