BREAKING: Protest rocks Osun Poly as Gov Adeleke suspends Rector
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP),Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, chapter on Tuesday morning trooped out in their numbers to protest against the suspension of, Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo as the Rector, AMILOADED reports.
It was gathered that the protesting staff chanting solidarity song baricaded the main campus entrance in iree which left the students writing exam stranded.
Gov Ademola Adeleke suspended Osun State Polytechnic, Iree rector, Dr Odetayo from office immediately over alleged corruption.
This was revealed in a statement signed by M.A.K Jimoh, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education.
According to the statement, Dr. Odetayo was suspended following allegations of financial recklessness, corruption, misappropriation of funds and abuse of office.
