BSU to lose accreditation of Faculty of Law over lack of facilities
The Law Faculty of the Benue State University (BSU) may soon lose its accreditation as the National Universities Commission, Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Msugh Kembe has disclosed.
According to him, plans have been concluded by the National University Commission (NUC) to withdraw the accreditation.
He said plan for the withdrawal was due to the inability of the university to meet the professional requirement, which include a well furnished mute court, law building, law clinic and library as well as proper mix of professional staff.
He further revealed that the faculty would need N119m to meet the requirements.
