Buhari reiterates promise to crush bandits, terrorists
President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated his promise to crush bandits, terrorists and kidnappers in the country, reassuring his administration’s commitment to tackling the security challenges in the country. The president vowed that he would leave no stone unturned in crushing bandits and terrorists ravaging several parts of the country.
The President in a statement maintained that the service chiefs have been kept on their toes to ensure that banditry and terrorism are decisively tackled.
Bandits had earlier released a tormenting video where kidnapped victims from the March 28 Abuja-Kaduna bound train were being flogged.
The victims were compelled in the 11-minute video, to appeal to the international community – the United Nations, African Union, and Saudi Arabia to come to their aid, declaring that the Nigerian government has failed to rescue them from the captivity of the bandits.
More so, the terrorists had also threatened to attack governors, including the president.
