Buhari sacks Nsima Ekere, appoints Acting MD for NDDC
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, sacked Nsima Ekere, Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and appointed Professor Nelson Braimbraifa as Acting MD of NDDC. The president also dissolved the NDDC board and appointed new acting directors.
Femi Adesina, Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement in Abuja, indicated that the appointment followed the resolution of the Federal Executive Council.
He said that the appointment also include the supervision of NDDC by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
The President also appointed Chris Amadi, Acting Executive Director Finance and Administration of the Commission while Engineer Samuel Adjogbe was appointed Acting Executive Director, Projects.
The statement declared that all the appointments are with the immediate effect.
