Buhari seeks Senate’s confirmation of nomination of Muhazu Jaji Sambo as minister
President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday communicated the nomination of Muhazu Jaji Sambo from Taraba State for ministerial appointment to the senate for confirmation.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, at plenary on Tuesday read the letter of President Buhari requesting the confirmation of the ministerial nominee.
The President cited session 147, sub session 2, of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended in support of his request to the senate.
Two ministers were fired in September by President Buhari. They include the Minister of Agriculture, Sabo Nanono, and the Power Minister, Saleh Mamman. The president may have commenced a process of their replacement after about three months.
