Buhari’s fresh move to extradite looters in Dubai
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday signed a deal with the United Arab Emirates to extradite Nigerians hiding in the country after committing financial crimes in Nigeria.
Dubai has been a bolt hole of wealthy Nigerians including those who have been accused of various financial crimes.
Delta’s former Governor James Ibori holed up there before he was bundled out by the UK for financial crimes. He was eventually extradited from there to London where he was subsequently jailed for money laundering.
