Chelsea sell Kai Havertz to Arsenal
Chelsea football club of England on Wednesday concluded the agreement to sell their German attacking midfielder, Kai Havertz, to Arsenal, a fellow club in the English Premier League.
It was gathered Arsenal signed Harvetz from Chelsea on a “long-term contract”, but both clubs are yet to disclose the terms of the contract.
Harvetz is Arsenal’s first signing of the summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal was said to have agreed to sign England midfielder Declan Rice on 105 million pounds fee from West Ham.
Havertz, posting a farewell message on his departure from Chelsea, on social media, stated that he was writing “with a heavy heart…saying goodbye to the club that has become my second home, and to the incredible fans who have supported me throughout this amazing journey.”
On joining Arsenal, Harvezt wrote on Arsenal website: “The mentality in the Arsenal squad is very high and you can feel that. That was one of the reasons why it has been so hard to play against Arsenal recently.
“The aim is to win trophies and I’m going to give everything to do that.”
