Coach Amapakabo called up 10 foreign pros to Nigeria U23s By Esther Egbe
National Team of U23s Coach, Imama Amapakabo has called up 10 foreign-based led by the likes of Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze for an U23 AFCON qualifier against Libya later this month, National Daily gathered.
Other call-ups include Perugia pair of Sadiq Umar and Kingsley Michael, Orji Okoronkwo, who is on loan in the Major League Soccer (MLS), Italy-based David Okereke,
National Daily learnt that Portugal-based Sunday Alimi as well as Germany-based goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Lukman Zakari.
Striker Umar was part of the team who won bronze at Rio 2016, while Villarreal winger Chukwueze has been capped by the Super Eagles.
The players are expected to join up with the rest of the squad in Abuja by next week.
The match will be played on March 20 with the return leg in Nigeria a few days later.
