Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a photo of a reunion with his old manager at Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson, while he also had a special message for the legendary Scot.

The Portugal international played a key role as Juventus moved five points clear at the top of Champions League Group H by beating United at Old Trafford.

In a game in which Juve dominated, Paulo Dybala’s first-half goal was enough to give the visitors victory on what was the second time Ronaldo’s returned to the club where he became a superstar.

And Ronaldo made sure he caught up with his former manager during his time in Manchester, with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner posting a photo on his social media accounts where he appears alongside the 76-year-old.

The caption that goes with the photo reads: “A great coach and above all a wonderful man.

“Taught me so many things inside and outside the pitch. Great to see you in good shape, Boss!”
