Award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced July 31, 2026, as the release date for his sixth studio album, ORIADE.

The Afrobeats star unveiled the project on his social media platforms with a promotional video showing him dressed in regal Yoruba attire, accompanied by a stirring Yoruba eulogy reflecting the album’s title and theme.

“The kingdom expands. Chosen long before the throne,” Davido captioned the post.

ORIADE will be Davido’s sixth studio album and seventh major project since he rose to prominence more than a decade ago. The title, which translates to “the crowned head” or “the king,” reflects both his royal heritage as a member of the Adeleke family of Ede, Osun State, and his status as one of Africa’s most influential music stars.

The announcement comes shortly after the release of his first single of 2026, I Know Who I Be, featuring South African artistes JAZZWRLD and GL Ceejay. The track continues Davido’s exploration of South Africa’s emerging three-step sound following the success of Nakupenda.

Earlier this year, the singer revealed that his next album would celebrate Nigerian and African music, raising expectations that ORIADE will showcase more homegrown sounds and collaborations.

The forthcoming project follows the commercial success of his 2025 album, 5ive, which produced the hit single With You and supported a successful international tour that included stadium performances in Uyo and Ibadan.

Fans are expected to receive more details about the album’s tracklist and featured artistes in the coming weeks ahead of its July 31 release.
