Delta govt orders workers below level 12 to resume work
Delta State Government on Tuesday issued a directive that officers on grade levels 12 and below should resume duties every working day (Monday to Friday), effective this Wednesday.
The Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, issued the directive in a statement in Asaba.
Aniagwu disclosed that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the resumption of duties by all workers in the state, including those grade levels 12 and below who had been ordered to work from home because of the coronavirus outbreak. The governor ordered immediate resumption of work as the virus has subsided in the state.
The Commissioner directed that all staff should be in their respective offices at 8.00 a.m., closing at the official hours daily, with effect from Wednesday.
Aniagwu, however, directed the workers to observe all preventive protocols as they resume work, which include physical distancing, regular washing and/or of hands or use of sanitizer and wearing of masks.
