DOWEN: School management says emotions raw, high
The management of Dowen College has commiserated with the family of Sylvester Oromoni Jr. murdered by his fellow students.
In a statement on Sunday, the school management described Oromoni as a “beacon of light” loved by all.
It admitted that the “unfortunate incident and death” requires a thorough and proper inquiry.
“At this time of intense grief and suffering, emotions are raw and tensions are high.
“We pray that God, who alone knows how to comfort the sorrowing, will comfort Sylvester’s family and all those who loved and knew him.”
The school assured parents that steps are being taken to ensure the safety and security of children and wards.
Since Oromoni’s death, the school has been shut down by the Lagos government.
