Edo 2024: Idahosa emerges deputy gov candidate to Okpebholo
A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, on Monday emerged the deputy governorship candidate of the party for the September 21 election.
Idahosa would be flying the party’s flag as deputy candidate to Monday Okpebholo, who is the APC candidate in the state.
APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; and APC’s National Secretary, Ajibola Bashiru, presented Okpebholo; and his running mate, Idahosa, to President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, on Monday.
National Daily newspaper gathered that Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, was earlier announced by the governorship candidate as his running mate, but the APC leadership endorsed Idahosa as a replacement, perhaps, to douse tension in the party in the build up to the election.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole was at the State House, Abuja, for the presentation of Idahosa to President Bola Tinubu as APC deputy governorship candidate in Edo State.
