EFCC arrests Kelly Okungbowa Ebo stone for alleged Naira abuse
Kelly Okungbowa, former coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team, was arrested by EFCC operatives for allegedly desecrating the Naira currency. He was caught on video mutilating the money at a bar in Benin City.
Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Kelly Okungbowa, also known as Ebo Stone, on Monday, March 17, 2025, for his involvement in alleged naira abuse.
Okungbowa, who was recently serving as the coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team (PSRT), which has since been suspended by the State Government, was apprehended following the circulation of a viral video.

In the video, which surfaced on March 9, 2025, Kelly Okungbowa was seen spraying and mutilating the Naira currency at a bar.
As investigations into the matter continue, Kelly Okungbowa is expected to be charged in court once the process is completed.
