The All Progressives Congress United Kingdom South-West States Caucus (APCUKSW) has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other national stalwarts of the party on the Eid-El-Fitr celebration.
In a statement signed by APCUKSW Chairman Hon. Andrew Taiwo, the diaspora caucus of the party harps on the significance of the Eid-El-Fitr festivity, citing the lessons learnt during the 30 days fasting observed by faithful.
Taiwo added that if the lessons of the just ended Ramadan period is well internalized a better world will be possible for all.
The statement reads in parts: “We heartily felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu our party’s symbol and Nigeria’s number one man as well as other stalwarts of our party who are Muslims, we wish you all a joyous celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr.
“On behalf of the six states UK chairmen, namely; Hon A J Idowu (Ekiti State), Hon. Tayo Shodeinde (Lagos State), Hon Andrew A Taiwo (Ogun State), Chief Julius Adeyeye (Ondo State), Hon. Justice Adetona (Osun State) and Hon Bayo Amusat-Gbenla (Oyo State), the APCUKSW congratulate all Muslims, especially faithful within the APC glorious family worldwide, as the Ramadan period draws to a close.
“Our sincere prayer is that the lessons of charitable deeds, piety, abstinence and total submission to the will of God that resonates all through the thirty days fasting period will remain internalized in our daily conducts, to evolve a new version of us which will consequently have a multiplier positive effect in our world.
“APCUKSW sees this festive period as an avenue to reiterate the importance of love for all, be it in the diaspora or in Nigeria, our blessed country.”
