Ekiti 2022: Buhari confirms Oyebanji APC candidate, presents flag
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday confirmed Abiodun Oyebanji the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship election in Ekiti State scheduled for June 18.
President Buhari presenting the flag in Abuja to Oyebanji as APC candidate said: “You have served Ekiti State in many capacities, including as Chief of Staff, Commissioner, and Secretary to the State Government. Being Governor will just be continuity of service. I honestly wish you the best of luck.”
APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, accompanied Oyebanji to the State House, Abuja, to present him to the President as APC candidate.
The National Chairman, Adamu, stated that APC is planning to win the election “by the grace of God.” According to him, “that is the reason the candidate was being presented for presidential blessings.”
