Elumelu now among the world’s most influential 100
Tony Elumelu, founder of Heirs Holdings, owners of UBA and Tony Elumelu Foundation, has secured a slot on the Time100 List of Most Influential People in the World.
He is one of only four Africans on the list.
This recognition is coming in the lead-up to the foundation’s 10th anniversary slated for November.
According to the foundation in a statement, the recognition is in honour of his commitment to empowering a new generation of African entrepreneurs, catalysing economic growth, driving poverty eradication and ensuring job creation across all 54 African countries, through his work at the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
One of the foundation’s initiative, the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme, has trained 9,360 beneficiaries so far.
