Fabrizio Romano dismisses Onana exit rumours as Fulham open talks for Chukwueze
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has moved to quash speculation linking Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana with a loan move to West Ham United, insisting the Cameroonian shot-stopper remains central to the club’s plans.
Reports had suggested that United’s pursuit of Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens could pave the way for Onana’s departure. However, Romano clarified that the potential signing of the Belgian does not mean Onana will be leaving Old Trafford this summer.
“Onana is not going anywhere. His future is at Manchester United,” Romano said, addressing growing rumours of a loan switch to West Ham.
Onana, who joined United from Inter Milan in 2023, has faced heavy criticism for inconsistent performances in the Premier League and Champions League but retains the backing of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff.

Meanwhile, in another transfer development, Fulham have entered negotiations with AC Milan over the possible signing of Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze.
According to reports from TouchlineX (via Matte Moretto), the London club are seeking a permanent deal for the winger, who only arrived at Milan last year from Villarreal. Chukwueze endured a mixed debut campaign at the San Siro, with injuries and competition for places limiting his impact in Stefano Pioli’s side.
If successful, the deal would make Chukwueze the latest Nigerian international in the Premier League, adding to Fulham’s attacking options as the Cottagers look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
