Fani-Kayode blasts Buhari over speech at UN
- Says President Ignored killings in South East Nigeria
Former Aviation Minister, Femi-Kayode, has blasted President Muhammadu Buhari who he said was pre-occupied with dictatorship issues in other countries with giving attention to the mass killings by the Nigerian Army in South East Nigeria while addressing world leaders at the United National General Assembly in New York.
“You condemn the killing of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar yet you slaughter Igbo Christians and Shiite Muslims in Nigeria and you turn a blind eye as your Salafist Fulani kinsmen and herdsmen butcher northern and southern Christians.
“You declare support for the establishment of a Palestinian State yet you reject the idea of Biafra. You condemn North Korea’s dictatorship yet you have proved to be the most ruthless dictator that Nigeria has ever known.
“Your speech at the United Nations was pitiful, shameless and uninspiring. It was a cocktail of contradictions, deceit and mendacities,” Fani-Kayode declared.
President Buhari in his address at the UNGA had condemned terrorists’ acts across the globe.

“Frontiers of good governance, democracy, rule of law are expanding everywhere, especially, in Africa.
“Individual national efforts are helping strengthen State institutions, promote accountability, and combat corruption.
“We shall also cooperate in addressing growing transnational crimes: forced labour, slavery, human trafficking, cybercrime.
“We must collectively devise strategies to stop fleeing ISIS fighters from mutating and infiltrating into Sahel and Lake Chad Basin.
“UN has responsibility to cooperate strongly with regional organisations such as African Union, in conflict prevention and management,” Buhari has said.
