Fans react as Mr Eazi jokes about betting on unborn child’s gender
Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has sparked reactions on social media after jokingly revealing that he placed a bet on the gender of his unborn child with wife, Temi Otedola.
The singer and entrepreneur made the remark in a post on his X handle on Wednesday, writing: “I just bet on if Temi Ajibade & Mr Eazi are having a boy or girl.”

The lighthearted comment quickly attracted attention from fans, many of whom interpreted it as Mr Eazi’s playful way of joining the excitement surrounding the couple’s first child.
Others joked that the singer likely already knows the baby’s gender, while some teased him for turning the pregnancy into a betting discussion.
One user wrote, “Pikin wey you don do scan see?” while another, identified as @RitaObido, commented: “Na rich man get belle, na poor man dey bet.”
Another follower, @leeqman93, wrote: “Really? Unborn child? Rich people mehnnnn.” Similarly, @DJ_MayWeather joked: “You wan collect this 2k wey I dey use guide. Mr Eazi, take it easy.”
Reacting in support of the couple, @FredricksonWhy1 added: “Na my money you wan add join baby shower. No problem, I will be happy to sow a seed.”
Mr Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, did not disclose whether he was betting on a boy or a girl, but the post has fueled speculation among followers eager to know the baby’s gender.
The development comes weeks after Temi Otedola announced that she and her husband were expecting their first child together.
Sharing photos showcasing her baby bump, the actress and fashion influencer accompanied the announcement with the biblical verse: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”
The announcement attracted congratulatory messages from fans, celebrities and public figures, marking another milestone for one of Nigeria’s most celebrated celebrity couples.
Mr Eazi and Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, got engaged in 2022 before tying the knot in a series of wedding ceremonies held in 2025.
