FG discovers 1,618 ghost workers
The Federal Government, with the adoption of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS), has discovered 1,618 ghost workers in the civil service. The Head of Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, in a media interaction on Tuesday on the preparations for the 2023 civil service week, disclosed that 1,618 ghost workers possessed fake employment letters.
Yemi-Esan said that the discovery was made after the introduction of control mechanisms, the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS), by the Service to tackle loopholes in the Service.
