Fire destroys community Market
Fire outbreak in the early hours of Tuesday destroyed all the lock-up shops at the community market in Gubio town, Borno State.

National Daily Newspaper gathered that the inferno burnt to ashes the 24 lock-up shops, many of which had grain, Agro chemicals, provision and other commodities stored in them.
Traders were counted their losses after the inferno.

The fire outbreak had rendered the traders hopeless, lamenting how to restart their businesses all over.
The Caretaker Chairman of Gubio Local Government, Mali Bulama Mali, was said to have made rapid response, urgently inspected the burnt shops for an on-the-spot assessment of the extent of damage and traders’ losses.
Mali was said to have promised to rebuild the destroyed burnt shops and assist the victims to resume their businesses.
Fire outbreak has been a recurring incident in several parts of the country in the recent time, razing down shops and destroying goods. In most cases, the inferno had done unrecoverable damages before the arrival of fire fighters.
In some instances, the firer fighters do not even have the opportunity to intervene as information on the fire outbreak may get to them late.
Generally, fire has not been kind to many traders and markets as the weather gradually moves towards the dry season, even as there has not been much rain in some parts of the country during the rainy season.
The cause of the Gubio Market fire outbreak is not yet ascertain at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, the Borno State government was yet to respond to the fire tragedy at the time of this report. It is, however, expected that Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State will also come to aid of the traders when the information gets to him.
