Foreign telecom firm eyes Nigerian telcoms market
Viasat Inc. an American communications company based in Carlsbad, California, is looking to establish a footprint in Nigeria’s ever-expanding telecommunication industry,
Prof. Umar Danbatta, executive vice chairman (EVC), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), who stated this said the Commission was gratified by the interest shown by Viasat.
He assured that NCC looked forward to working with the company to provide accessible and affordable broadband services to the Nigerian market.
Danbatta stated this when he received the management of Viasat who came on a courtesy visit at the Commission’s head office in Abuja.
The Viasat team was led by Lars Stork, a Senior Advisor.
