The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, arrived Lagos Friday night. On arrival, he was driven in a convoy to his residence.
Emir Sanusi II had departed Awe, Nasarawa State on Friday in the convoy of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, after a Federal High, Abuja, ordered his release from detention since his dethronement by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Monday. An arrival in Abuja, Emir Sanusi II was airborne to Lagos his original exile destination before the Kano government chose to punish him with banishment to rural community in Nasarawa State.
Dethroned Emir Sanusi II is expected to be chairman of the Convocation lecture of the Lagos State University this year.
