Former Lagos PDP governorship candidate, Jandor defects after meeting with Tinubu
Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), marking a significant political shift in Lagos State.
Jandor, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the 2023 election, made the announcement just moments ago. His defection comes barely a week after he resigned from the PDP, citing leadership failures within the party.
Reports indicate that Jandor had a closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Rock last week.
While the details of their discussion remain undisclosed, political analysts speculate that it was linked to his next political move.
His move to the APC could reshape the political dynamics in Lagos State, where he had previously positioned himself as a major opposition figure. More details are expected to emerge in the coming days regarding his role within his new party.
