Four NYSC members, soldier die in Adamawa road crash 

Four members of the National Youth Service Corps National Youth Service Corps and a soldier have reportedly died in a tragic road accident along the Yola–Mubi highway in Adamawa State.

The crash, which occurred on the busy highway linking parts of northern Adamawa, involved a head-on collision that resulted in a fire outbreak, leading to the burning of the victims beyond recognition, according to initial reports from the scene.

Eyewitness accounts suggest that the vehicle conveying the corps members collided with another vehicle under circumstances that are still being investigated by relevant authorities.

Emergency responders and security personnel were said to have arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to evacuate victims and restore order along the road. However, all five occupants, four corps members and a soldier were confirmed dead at the scene.

The identities of the victims have not yet been officially released, and authorities are expected to notify families after proper verification.

Security agencies and traffic authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash, with preliminary findings yet to be made public.

The incident has sparked renewed concern over road safety along the Yola–Mubi corridor, which has witnessed several fatal accidents in the past due to speeding, poor visibility, and highway traffic conditions.
