FUNAAB begins lecture Nov. 2
Students of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) will start the second semester lectures on Wednesday, Nov. 2, following their resumption on Thursday, Oct. 27.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the institution resumed lectures after eight weeks of industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The institution said this in a statement signed on behalf of the Registrar, Dr Bola Adekola, by the Deputy Registrar, Senate and Admissions, Mr Omowon Agbotoba, on Friday in Abeokuta.
The school also said that the university Senate, at a meeting, approved a revised Second Semester 2020/2021 Academic Calendar, while its 71st inaugural lecture would hold Nov. 23.
“Special Senate to consider first semester examination result Dec. 2., 72nd inaugural lecture will hold Dec. 21. Second semester lecture ends Jan. 13, 2023.
“Second semester examinations begin Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, while second semester examinations end by Friday, Feb. 3, 2023. Also, the 73rd inaugural lecture holds on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2023.
“Special Senate to consider second semester examination results and end of session Friday, March 10, 2023.
