Gas plant explodes near entrance gate of Redeemed Church headquarters
A gas plant, on Monday, exploded near the entrance gate of the headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), along lagos-ibadan expressway in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) spokesperson, Nosa Okunbor, was gathered to have acknowledged the explosion, saying: “ths explosion occurred just before Redeemed main entrance. Incidentally, the thing is not owned by Redeemed but it is just by it.
“It is by a filling station in a densely populated area.”
LASEMA was further gathered to have narrated that the fire outbreak started from one of the cylinders and extended to the two trucks parked in the p[remises. LASEMA said that there was no loss of life or injury recorded.
The Lagos State Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service were on ground to prevent the fire from spreading.
