German forward, David Alaba, set to launch philanthropic project in Nigeria, as Abike Dabiri celebrates Madrid victory
A Nigerian-born forward in German national team, Dave Alaba, has indicated readiness to launch a philanthropic project in his motherland, Nigeria.
Alaba who moved from Bayern Munich, Germany, to the Champions League champion in La Liga, Spain, was wildly celebrated by the Head of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri, for winning the European Super cup with his new club, Real Madrid. Dabiri also celebrated Alaba for scoring the first goal of the match, saying that Alaba made all Nigerians proud.
Meanwhile, Alaba turned down an invitation to the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, after which he opted for the German national team.
Meanwhile, Abike on her official twitter handle Abike Dabiri-Erewa @abikedabiri wrote: “David Alaba made us all proud yesterday by winning the European Super cup with his new club Real Madrid. He scored the first goal of the match. David is currently embarking on a philanthropic project in Nigeria to be launched soon.” #ProudlyNigerian
