Gov. Umahi mourns Aja-Nwachukwu
GOVERNOR David Umahi of Ebonyi state has condoled with the family of the Former Education Minister, Dr. Igwe Aja Nwachukwu who died at an Isreali hospital.
In a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Emma Anya and made available to newsmen, the Governor described late Aja Nwachukwu as an illustrious son of the state who contributed in no small measure to the development of the nation.
According to him; “As a Minister of Education, he left a footprint on the nation’s education sector. As the Pro-Chancellor of the Ebonyi State University and an erudite scholar, he brought the education sector in our state to enviable height”.
“We are saddened that he died at this stage of our growth as a state. We pray that God grants the repose of his soul and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
