Governor Nwifuru freezes all govt. accounts in Ebonyi
Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, on assumption of duty on Tuesday after he was sworn in Monday, ordered the freezing of all the accounts of the state government in banks with immediate effective from Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
The governor in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, directed the managers of all the banks that operate Ebonyi State government accounts to immediately comply by ensuring that no payment is being made from any government accounts till further notice.
