Gunmen abduct, kill popular Bauchi monarch
Alhaji Garba Badamasi, the traditional ruler of Riruwai village in Lame District, Toro LGA of Bauchi State, is dead.
He was reportedly abducted and killed by unknown gunmen who stormed his palace on Friday, March 15, 2024.
National Daily gathered that the gunmen, after abducting the late Badamasi, did not contact any of his family members for ransom payment.
It was further gathered that Badamasi’s body was later found after he had spent a day in captivity.
His corpse, which was dumped close to the village, was said to have been recovered by villagers who were searching for him in the bush.
