Gunmen slaughter scores of residents in Ohafia, Abia
Gunmen went on rampage on Tuesday night killing scores of persons in Amangwu Ohafia community, Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State. The invaders also burnt several houses of residents of the community during the operations.
The exact number of casualties is yet to be ascertained, as several others were said to have sustained injuries.
Many residents were said to have fled Ohafia to neighbouring communities for safety.
The recent insecurity trend in southeast Nigeria is generating fears of upsurge of terrorism Igbo land.
