How APC lawmaker’s defection may boost the winning chances of the PDP

There are indications that the All Progressives Congress APC lawmakers may dump the Party for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the country. The Hon. member representing one of the Federal constituency in Delta State, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, made this known that the All Progressives Congress APC House of Assembly members will soon dump the Party for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu stated further that there is ongoing negotiation between the APC House of Assembly members and the PDP Members.

It should be recalled that Senator Smart Adeyemi has called upon the members at Senate house to shut down the national assembly completely. Senator Smart Adeyemi expressed his anger over the level of insecurity in the country. Though, Senator Smart Adeyemi was interrupted by Senator Remi Tinubu, Who called him Wolf among the sheep, which implies that Senator Smart Adeyemi is an hypocrite among the All Progressives Congress APC, members.

The current state of things in the country, most especially the level of insecurity in the country, may be one of the factors, some APC members wanted to defect from their Party to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP. It should also be recalled that, the Banditary are striking in every nooks and crannies of the country. Recently The kidnappings and Banditary occurred in Niger and Benue States respectively. This caused minor misunderstandings between Governor Ortom and the Federal Government.

However, The Proposed defection of the All Progressives Congress APC House of Assembly members will help the The Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the forthcoming Polls. Though, the lawmakers are yet to defect to PDP but the fact is, the Preparation is ongoing to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in large number.

The Peoples Democratic Party PDP, may have huge edge over the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming Polls. The reason is, each of the House of Assembly Members will have the Political influence on their various People. They will use every resources within their capacity to ensure that the PDP, which is their new Party won the forthcoming election. If the APC Lawmakers should defect to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, the APC may not win the 2023 Polls.

This is not the first time the Lawmakers will defect in large number to another Political Party. It has happened during Goodluck Jonathan tenure, as President. This happened in the year 2014 when the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, House of Assembly members, defected from the their Party to the All Progressives Congress APC. The PDP could not win the 2015 Presidential Election. Though, The Presidency tried all her efforts that time to stop the Lawmakers from defecting to APC but all the efforts proved abortive.Therefore, The Federal Government should adopt the Proactive method to stop the Lawmakers from defecting to the PDP. If the Lawmakers should defect to the PDP, the Party may win the next Presidential Polls and the All Progressives Congress APC May suffer for the Defection. Therefore, the APC leaders should try as much as Possible to Put things in order in the Party.
