How group wants to protest against Appeal Court judgement in Plateau
A secret plan by some group of aggrieved politicians in Plateau State to protest over the judgments of the Appeal Court verdict that sacked some People’s Democratic Party (PDP), National House of Assembly Members in the State has been exposed.
The secret planned protest has attracted the attention of the media in the State as it is inflicting tension and fear among residents, especially in some areas where the proposed protest may take place.
Our correspondent gathered that, if the protest holds, major highways leading in and out of the State may be blocked by the protesters.
Security operatives have said they are on standby to forestall any breakdown of law and order and warned that citizens should not allow themselves to be used by politicians to throw the State into another round of crisis.
This medium had reported how the Court of Appeal last week sacked three PDP National House of Assembly members on the grounds that the PDP does not have a valid Party structure to sponsor any candidate for the February 2023 general elections.
