How not to waste time into/out of Lagos during closure of Lagos-Ibadan expressway
The partial closure of the Lagos- Ibadan expressway begins this Monday. National Daily learned that the closure is to allow the expansion work at the Berger to Kara axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, an outskirt of Lagos, to be speeded up.
While the federal government had issued early notice to users of the ever busy road which leads to all parts of Nigeria from the Atlantic, alternative routes were provided for road users to avoid being trapped in traffic. Accordingly, Lagos State government in conjunction with federal agencies divert traffic into and out of Lagos through alternative routes via Ikorodu, Epe to link Sagamu – Ijebo Ode- Ore road; then, Abeokuta road into Ogun State to get out at other parts of the expressway towards Redeemed Church axis, among others.
The construction work at the Lagos-Ibadan expressway towards the Berger axis, was said to be scheduled for completion within the next one month.
