Hundreds of PDP, NNPP supporters defect to APC
Hundreds of opposition members across the major domannat party in the north have defected to the APC, in Mallam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa.
The council chairman, Mallam Usaini Umar , stated this while receiving the decampees on Wednesday.
According to him, over 546 supporters of the opposition parties, including the NNPP, the PDP dumped their parties for the APC.
Deputy chairman APC Jigawa North East senatorial zone, Alhaji Ango Mallam-Madori, welcomed the decampees and promised to treat them as every other member of the party.
He urged them to work for the success of the party in the 2023 general elections.
Mallam Muhammad Mai Yarbawa who led the defectors said they left their parties because of poor structure and failed promises.
