Husband stabs wife to death over upkeep money
An unidentified butcher reportedly stabbed his wife to death in Warri, Delta State on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
According to reports, the suspect and his late wife got into a heated argument when he returned home from work and tried to get hot water to bathe. His late wife told him not to touch the water on the cooking gas as he doesn’t provide money for his family’s upkeep, nor does he give money for cooking g2s.
He ignored his wife and got the hot water from the cooking gas. This led to a hot fight between the couple and the suspect allegedly stabbed his wife severally until she collapsed and died.
The couple’s aggrieved daughter reported the case to the Police and the butcher was arrested promptly.
