Hyundai’s 1X35 SUV thrills at 2015 Headies

In line with Hyundai Motors global youth development programmes, Hyundai Motors Nigeria in collaboration with HipHop World has presented prized Hyundai iX35 sport utility vehicle to the Marvin Records Reekado Banks, winner of ‘Next Rated’ commemorative plaque at the just ended 2015 Headies Awrads.

 The 22-year-old University of Lagos History and Strategic Study graduate, Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon popularly called Reekado Banks outshined rival nominees Kiss Daniel, Cynthia Morgan, Korede Bello and Lil’ Kesh to emerge winner in the ‘Next Rated’ category of the contest.

Next Rated category spotlights probable outstanding artiste and is arguably the most coveted grouping in the nine year old musical show with past winners like international music sensation Asa; Wande Coal, Omawunmi, Wizkid, Davido, Sean Tizzle and Patoranking.

Stallion Hyundai Motors Nigeria has since 2011 underwrite the Next Rated category of Headies’ Awards, a seeming adaptation of the prestigious Grammy Awards, where local outstanding and upcoming artistes in the year are honoured.

In his post award remarks, Hyundai Motors Nigeria head of sales and marketing Jatin Nadkarni said: “Hyundai is delighted to be associated with Headies’ entertainment’ talent hunt initiative which has consistently celebrated local music icons with recourse to the consequence of music being one of the most effective media of communication and the best way to reach out to the world most potent population.”

“We intend to continue to use this platform to raise the profile of evolving arts that are fast becoming an attribute for socio-cultural emancipation,” Mr. Nadkarni noted.
