I have no other agenda than to serve Nigerians- Atiku
The presidential candidate of the PeoplesDemcratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 elections, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Monday assured Nigerians that he has no other agenda but to serve the citizens.
Atiku in Yola, Adamawa State, stated that if elected president, he will tackle the various challenges confronting the country and ensure that there is peace, progress, abundance as well as create wealth for the country.
The PDP presidential candidate in Yola, received thousands of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP.
Atiku was returning to his country home the first time since he won the PDP presidential ticket in the presidential primaries at the National Convention in Abuja. he was received at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola, by a mammoth crowd.
Atiku from the Yola international Airport, proceeded to the Palace of the Lamido of Adamawa for a courtesy visit before joining the mega rally where thousands of APC members, including two state lawmakers, defected to the PDP.
The PDP National, Iyorchia Ayu, receiving the decampees, assured them a level playing ground.
Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State disclosed that the PDP has delivered on its campaign promises and will do more in Adamawa.
Atiku Abubakar spoke to the people in Hausa language before turning to English, noted that the event was not a campaign but to receive the APC defectors.
Atiku’s running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, former Vice President Namadi Sambo, former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State, former Governor Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, Senator Adamu Maina and Senator Dino Melaye, accompanied Atiku on the trip to Adamawa.
