INEC reconfigure BVAS, distributes materials for gov, house assembly elections to states
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the reconfiguration of the Bimodal Voter Registration Systems (BVAS), including the distribution of materials for the Saturday governorship and state house of assembly elections in the 28 states where elections are holding.
Festus Okoye, an INEC National Commissioner, commenting on the distribution of electoral materials for the state elections, disclosed that the results of the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections from over 170,000 polling units had been uploaded on its Results Viewing Portal (IReV).
So far, INEC has deposited sensitive electoral materials at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Bauchi Branch, under the watch of INEC officials in the state, party agents, security personnel, and observers.
INEC distributed election materials for the governorship and state assembly elections in Kano and Lagos states on Wednesday.
The sensitive materials for the March 18 governorship and state House of Assembly elections were deposited at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Marina on Wednesday.
