Isime Esene, the Managing Editor of Y!/YNaija.com, moderated a panel discussion at Thursday Talks on the ‘Role of the Media in the Election: Addressing Fake News’ on 31 January, 2019 at the Civic Hive, 42 Montgomery Avenue, Yaba, Lagos.
The session drew the public’s attention to the effect of ‘Fake News’, and how it can be curbed, especially during an election season.
Panelists included Jude Egbas, journalist, Pulse Nigeria; Hannah Ojo, TruthBuzz Fellow, International Centre for Journalists, and David Ajikobi, Nigeria Editor, Africa Check.
