It’s our responsibility to impact in our coaches – Chukwumeriji

Three-time Olympian and Technical Director of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF), Chika Chukwumerije has lauded the Osun State Government for accepting to host the National Coaches Conference (South-West Zone) holding at the Osun State capital, Osogbo from 19th to 20th February, 2018 ,National Daily gathered.
Chukwumerije told National Daily ,that the programme is aimed at empowering Taekwondo Coaches in the zone, as well as to inspire the coaches to assist the Federation in scouting and discovering talents at grassroots level.
Chika explained that “We are trying out best to develop Taekwando in the country and am glad it has all been positive. Taekwando improves the physical conditioning and helps individuals become more confident, controlled, disciplined and respectful.
“It is our responsibility to impact knowledge into our coaches and improve them in all capacity. Coaching process, the principle of planning coaching sessions, principles of skill development through coaching sessions and principles of evaluation in coaching will all be rolled out in the two-day event.
The two-day event which will be declared opened by his excellency the Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, will also have in attendance the President of the Nigerian Taekwando Federation, Mrs Margaret Binga, Technical Director of the Federation and Olympic Bronze medallist, Chika Chukwumerije,
Other are, Chairman NTF Technical Committee, Alhaji Sani Lawala, Chairperson of the Women Affairs Committee of the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Mrs Oluwatoyin Apara and many others.
